PERT studies fuel cell systems of different supply chains as part of a research activity that experience has shown effectively supported by the parallel proceeding of experimentation and simulation, in a relationship of verification and mutual guidance.
The main topics developed are: the investigation of diffusion phenomena and electrochemical kinetics; the static and dynamic simulation at different degrees of detail, from the electrode scale to that of power plants; the programming of experimental tests on a laboratory scale and pilot plants; the development of new design solutions and optimization of operating conditions in stationary applications and for motor vehicles; innovative applications for the reduction of CO <2> emissions and the use of renewable sources.
