Collaborazioni

Collaboration UNIBZ:
The PERT collaborates with the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (https://www.unibz.it/).

Prof. Elisabetta Arato is a member of the college of the doctoral program in Sustainable Energies and Technologies (https://www.unibz.it/en/faculties/sciencetechnology/phd-sustainable-energy-technologies/) and she has supervised the work of former graduate student Dario Bove and of the current graduate student Filippo Marchelli.

In the field of research, PERT collaborates with the group of Bioenergies and Biofuels, coordinated by Prof. Marco Baratieri. The aim is the valorisation of biomass for energy purposes, with thermochemical processes such as gasification or pyrolysis. To this end, biomasses are characterized by a different scale of detail through equipment and they can be converted with laboratory reactors . The activity also concerns the by-product of gasification, the so-called char, and is aimed at enhancing it as an adsorbent or support for catalysts, thus avoiding becoming a refusal.

Collaboration ENEA:
The PERT collaborates with the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Development (ENEA, http://www.enea.it/it)

Prof. Barbara Bosio collaborates for years with the “Laboratory for the development of chemical and thermofluidynamic processes for energy ” [ Responsible: Giulia Monteleone (giulia.monteleone@enea.it), Stephen John McPhail (stephen.mcphail@enea.it) ] and she is supervising the activities of the common graduate student Bruno Conti.

In the field of research, the PERT collaborates with ENEA with the aim of experimentally characterizing Solid Oxide fuel cells with conventional and innovative experimental techniques. The study is done at different scales of detail for the optimization and development of these energy production systems with low environmental impact and their rapid growth in the world energy market.

Collaboration VTT:
The PERT collaborates with the Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd. (VTT, http://www.vttresearch.com/)

Prof. Barbara Bosio collaborates through the graduate student Bruno Conti with the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Lab of VTT (Responsible: Olli Himanen, olli.himanen@vtt.fi) .
In the field of research, the PERT collaborates with the VTT for the characterization of solid oxide fuel cells with the electrochemical spectroscopy (EIS) impedance technique in order to investigate the chemical-physical processes underlying these devices for their development and optimization in the renewable energy landscape.
