Optimization with Dakota and OpenFOAM.
I am updating this
link. At the moment I am rewriting the tutorials using DAKOTA
6.3.0, OpenFOAM-3.0.x, salome 7.7.1 and python 2.7
SUSE Linux for opensource CFD (with OpenFOAM 5.x)
If you are new to linux and you do not want to go thru the
hustle and bustle of installing it, partioning your hard drive, and
installing all the applications, I highly recommend you to use this
linux version based on OpenSUSE Leap 42.1. You can install this linux
version using any virtual machine (in Windows, Linux, and MACOS), but I
highly recommend you to use vmware workstation player (there is a free for Windows).
This linux image was build using SUSE Studio. This service will
be shut down in Feb 2018, so this will be the last suported release. For
more information, visit this link http://blog.susestudio.com/2017/11/shut-down-of-suse-studio-at.html
OpenFOAM 7 on Raspberry pi 3 (Raspbian
GNU/Linux 8)
I have been using a Raspberry pi 3 as a media center and data
center, and I was curious if it was possible to do heavy
computations on one of these. So I decided to try to install OpenFOAM
and it turns out that the installation is very straightforward.
